Epson Expression Home XP-102 Review

The Epson Expression XP-102 is actually a small machine, part of Epson's cutely named 'Small-in-One' range, and possesses a footprint not very much bigger than the A4 sheets it works with. The all-black casing features a sleek cover - no Automatic Document Feed, needless to say, on a device at this particular price - however it has a little expansion on the hinge, to help scanning from book pages.

On most machines, hinging up the scanner section to reveal the ink cartridges automatically moves the carrier into a handy spot upon the carriage to switch them, but with the Epson Expression XP-102 you have got to do this via the maintenance tab within the driver. Fitting the four separate cartridges is simple, even though they are a little bit of a tight fit, particularly when you're looking at extracting used ones.

The Epson Expression XP-102 ink cartridges are available in two volumes and choosing the larger capacity consumables works out cheaper in the long run.

Epson's Expression XP-102 is actually a fair, budget all-in-one, with ease of use and reasonable speed.
